Deb Kaul

Deb Kaul, 63, of Franklin, Wisconsin, formerly of Davenport, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Lake Terrace North Seniorminiums, Franklin, Wisconsin. Services in celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 21, at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mayo Clinic Brain Research or the Scott County Humane Society.

Deb was born in 1949 in Manning, Iowa, to Elmer Kenneth and Shirley Jean Pedersen.

She married Kenneth E. Kaul, and although they divorced after over 30 years, they remained friends. Deb received her M.A. in counseling. She worked as a counselor for the Davenport Alternative High School and as a teacher at the AIC Business College. She enjoyed walking and boating, and rode RAGBRAI twice, in addition to hiking in Colorado and Alaska.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Jean (Chris) Menge of Monmouth, Illinois; son, Dr. Patrick Ryan (Elizeht) Kaul of Franklin; grandchildren, Madeleine, Mercedes and Aiden Wells, and Addison and Sophia Kaul; and sisters, Betty (Daniel) Hansen and Mary Ellen (Perry) Kelley; along with several nieces and nephews.
