Laflar Services Set on Sunday Funeral services for Gordon W. Laflar, active in the insurance and real estate business here for many years and who died, September 19, 1935, shortly before noon yesterday at the family home, 1190 South Liberty, will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Rigdom Mortuary, with Rev. W.C. Kantmer, officiating.

Mr. Laflar had been in ill health for the past five years, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident at that time on the highway near Jefferson. His condition became so serious late Wednesday that his son, Arthur Emmett Laflar, was summoned from Portland. The son was here when Laflar passed away.

The Laflars came here from Iowa in 1911, he engaging at once in the real estate business. He was born in Griswold, Iowa, August 10, 1856, son of William and Margaret (Powers) Laflar, and later ran a country newspaper (Manning Monitor) and the post office at Manning, Iowa. He was a Mason and member of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are the widow, Melissa H. (Armstrong) Laflar, and the son, Arthur E.

Burial was at Smith Cemetery, Griswold, Iowa.
