The Rev. Carl Sinning of the Manning Presbyterian Church officiate. Ray Pratt will be the soloist and Bonita (Mrs. H.W.) Hagedorn the accompanist. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.
Mr. Griebel was born in Germany January 19, 1870. His parents were the late Hans and Katriena (Ralphs) Griebel. He came to the United States at the age of 9, living in Rock Island, Illinois, until the family moved to Audubon where he was married to Ida Grohlke in 1893.
In 1896, he came to Manning. From 1910 until 1949, he lived in South Dakota, except for a few years in Manning, returning to Manning permanently in 1949. The last three months he was a patient in the Carroll Nursing Home.
Mrs. Griebel died on April 25, 1947. He is survived by four children, John H. of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; William H. of Nerstrand, Minnesota; N.G. of Bennett; and Mrs. Ida K. Christiansen of Oregon City, Oregon; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
