Michael Floyd Finnerty, Sr.
We are sorry to learn of the sad death of Mike Finnerty, of Warren, Township, who died at his house Saturday evening, March 10, 1893. Mr. Finnerty had been feeling in good health and was loading some wheat and while lifting a sack strained himself internally. Medical aid was summoned but all efforts to allay the pain failed.

The accident occurred at 1 p.m. and at 6 o'clock the sufferer was dead. The funeral took place at Manning Monday and was attended by a large number of people.

Mr. Finnerty was one of the most popular men in that part of the county. He was a whole souled fellow and enjoyed the confidence of all who knew him.

The deceased was a former resident of Eden Township, he was born September 12, 1857, and filled the office of assessor.

The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of many friends in their sad bereavement.

He was married to Sarah Ellen Campbell, and they had four children: Lewis, Katharyn Miller, Thomas, and Michael, Jr.
