Adolph Thede

Deceased
At the age of only 31 years Adolph Thede departed this life last Friday the 26th of April, 1918. He was born in the year 1887 in Hochwürden in Süder-Dithmarschen in Schleswig-Holstein and arrived in America in 1911 and came immediately to this area. About half year ago he became ill and later went to a Sanatorium in Ft. Dodge to seek treatment. He returned on a Monday a few weeks ago from there, quite unaware that he was allotted a few remaining days.

During this time he was cared for by Frau Wilke and his two sisters Frau Hans Detlefsen and Frau Henry Thedens with devoted and loving care.

Besides these two sisters the deceased leaves behind a brother, Henry Thede, as well as his mother and twelve siblings in Germany.

The burial took place last Sunday in the forenoon preceded by a well-attended funeral service in the Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor J. Ansorge. Members of the Liederkranz, Kriegerverein, and the Skat-Club, associations of which the deceased was a member, accompanied the deceased to his burial. The internment of the remains followed at the local cemetery. May he rest in peace!
