Death of Mrs. Wunderlich, Sr.
Mrs. Wunderlich died at Henry Ahrendsen's home, south of town, March 9th, 1908, old age and other complications was the direct cause of her death. She was a good, kind wife and a loving mother. Impressive funeral services were held at her late home, Pastor John Ansorge, of the German Lutheran Church, of this city, officiated, after which all that remained of this grand old mother was tenderly conveyed to our silent city, where, by the side of a devoted husband, she now rests in pace.

Agnetha (Thede) Wunderlich was born at Erfde, Schleswig, Germany, January 17, 1833, and was married to Jurgen Wunderlich in 1865. She was the daughter of Daughter of Jürgen and Anna (Kühl) Thede.

Three children were born to them: Thede, of Spokane, Washington, Margareta (Mrs. Henry) Ahrendsen, and one child died in infancy. The step-children are Nick Wunderlich, Logan, Anna (Mrs. Herman) Kusel, Manning, Dorothea (Mrs. Claus) Struve, east of Manning, and one daughter at Bonesteel, South Dakota, and a large number of grandchildren.

The relatives attending the funeral from afar were Thede Wunderlich, from Spokane, Washington, and Nick Wunderlich, Logan, Iowa.
