ALFRED JOHN RIX
Funeral services for Alfred John Rix, 68, of Manning will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Zion Lutheran Church here, with burial in Manning Cemetery. Pastor Edward F. Heinicke will officiate. Arrangements are in charge of the Ohde Funeral Home.

Mr. Rix died Tuesday morning, June 7, 1966, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll. He was born June 23, 1897, in Carroll County, a son of Peter and Wilhelmina (Baak) Rix. He attended grade school in Manning. His marriage to Elsie D. Schroeder took place here February 20, 1924. The couple farmed in Crawford, Carroll, and Audubon Counties, moving to Manning in February 1949. He retired in 1962 because of his health.

Surviving is his wife; four children, Mrs. Arthur (Delores) Kuhn, Allen and Larry Rix, Manning, and Donald Rix of Albuquerque, New Mexico; eight grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Rix, Manning; and three brothers, Harry H. and Arthur Rix, Manning, and Theodore Rix, Longmont, Colorado.

Funeral services for Alfred John Rix, 68, were held at Zion Lutheran Church here on Friday.
He died at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll on June 7. He was a lifetime resident of the Manning area.
Survives include his widow, a daughter, three sons, his mother, Mrs. Minnie Rix, Manning; three brothers, eight grandchildren.
