Mrs. Emil Ranniger
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Zion Lutheran Church for Mrs. Emil Ranniger, 54, who died suddenly late Friday afternoon, June 16, 1944.

Although she had been in failing health for a year, her condition was not alarming. In fact, she had worked in the garden the day before her death. The services were conducted by Pastor John M. Ansorge.

Amalie Magdalena Paesler was born February 6, 1880, at Arcadia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman and Margretha (Mordhorst) Paesler. When 6 years old the family moved to Manning and she received her education in the Manning Schools. Later the family moved to the country and engaged in farming.

On January 10, 1912, she was married to Emil Ranniger in Manning. They came to Manning in 1923 and this has since been their home.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Velma and Lila Ranniger at home; a son, Elroy Ranniger of Carroll; her mother, Mrs. Herman Paesler of Manning; a sister; Henrietta (Mrs. John) Ranniger of Springfield, Minnesota; a brother, Gus Paesler of Jefferson; a granddaughter, an uncle and an aunt.
