MRS. AMANDA URBAN

Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda Urban, 66, who died about 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 1955, at the Manning General Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Ohde Funeral Home here. Dr. F.E. Hamlin, minister of the Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Mrs. Urban had been a Manning resident 17 years, having come here from Wadena, Minnesota, where she was living when her husband, Fred Urban, died in 1936.
Daughter of Johannes and Maria (Thomsen) Kollmetz, she was born March 14, 1889.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Rose) Stumpe, Manning, and Mrs. Elroy (Clara) Ranniger, Carroll; three granddaughters; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hagedorn, Manning; and Mrs. Clara Hagedorn, Council Bluffs.

A daughter, Elsie Urban, died in 1946.

Mrs. Urban, who had previously suffered several heart attacks, was taken to the hospital Wednesday after being stricken that day.

Mrs. Amanda Urban, 66, of Manning, mother of Mrs. Elroy Ranniger of Carroll, died Thursday morning at the Manning General Hospital, where she had been admitted after suffering a heart attack Wednesday.
The body is at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, awaiting completion of arrangements.
Mrs. Urban was the widow of Fred Urban who died in 1936.
Survivors include two daughter, Mrs. Fred (Rose) Stumpe, Manning, and Mrs. Ranniger (Clara), Carroll; three grandchildren and two sisters. One daughter, Elsie Urban, died in 1946.
