Obituary
Mrs. Peter H. (Anna) Sievers passed away last Thursday afternoon at her home two miles southeast of town. The news came as a sudden shock to our citizens for the illness of Mrs. Sievers was of very short duration and her passing away caused deep sorrow in the hearts of all. Mr. and Mrs. Sievers have resided in this vicinity for a number of years and she has won friends everywhere by her sweet womanly ways. She was born in Holstein, Germany, forty five years ago and came to this country with her parents settling in Tama County. While living there she was married to P.H. Sievers and soon after they came here. Five Children were born to this union, all of whom survive to mourn the loss of a loving mother. Rev. Martins conducted the Services held at the house, then the remains were conveyed to the Methodist church and Rev, Bennett took charge. After a brief sad ceremony they were taken to their last resting place in the Manning Cemetery. The Modern Woodmen, of this city, attended in a body and showed by their many kindnesses their sympathy for the bereaved husband. We extend to. Mr. Sievers and his children the heartfelt sympathy of this community in this, their dark hour.

I'm occasionally adding the actual scanned image of the obituary I make using my VERY expensive - large commercial scanner, and/or also other articles about the deceased person that were published in the Manning Monitor.
I want to also comment about people who are taking my obituaries, pictures, and/or other articles about a person/family and posting them on other websites.
You do NOT have permission or the right to do this - you are stealing my historical work.
Buy your own scanning equipment, pay for memberships to other commercial websites, and spend decades working on your local history like I have - then you'll understand why I'm making these comments!

Thank you for your attention to this matter - Dave Kusel
