MRS. ANNAH ELLEN WYATT
Funeral services will Ike at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Ohde Funeral Home here for Mrs. Annah Ellen Wyatt, 94, of Manning, who died Thursday afternoon, September 30, 1954, at the Saunders Nursing home in Manilla.

The Rev. J.A. Lippincott, of the Manning Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Mrs. Wyatt's death followed a short illness. For the last two years she had lived at the nursing home, where she had assisted in conducting religious services every Sunday afternoon.

A native of Illinois, Mrs. Wyatt had lived in Iowa the greater part of the time since 1868. She came to Carroll County in 1913.

She was born Annah Ellen Boston September 23, 1860, in Round Grove, Whiteside County, Illinois, daughter of John Albert and Sarah Barbara (Durstine) Boston. Her marriage to William Wyatt took place January 1, 1878, on a farm in Story County, Iowa.

Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt came to Carroll County from David City, Nebraska, in 1913.

Mr. Wyatt died May 27, 1925.

The couple had two sons, Dr. Orren W. Wyatt and Dr. Merlin B. Wyatt, both of whom preceded Mrs. Wyatt in death.

Dr. Orren W. Wyatt was the builder of the Wyatt Memorial Hospital, later renamed to Manning General Hospital.

The last of her family, Mrs. Wyatt was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.

She is survived by seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

As a hobby, Mrs. Wyatt did handwork of all kinds. She had pieced quilts for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her doilies were often prize winners.

She was known to all in the town of Manning as "Grandma Wyatt."

Mrs. Wyatt was a member of the Church of God. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
