Final rites for Arthur J. Stuhr, 57, Coon Rapids, were conducted by the Rev. Allan M. Peterson of the First Presbyterian Church, Carroll, at the Huffman Funeral Home here at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 27.

Mrs. Kenneth Holley played a piano prelude and postlude, and also accompanied Mrs. Romayne E. Huffman as she sang "God Will Take Care of You."

Serving as pallbearers were Norbert Mosman, Alva Stuhr, Scranton; Amos Stuhr, Glidden; Norman Ehlers, Belle Plaine; Wayne Witt, Carroll; and Max Fisher, Hamlin. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Stuhr, who farmed near Carroll until moving to a farm southeast of Coon Rapids five years ago, died December 23, 1960, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Broich, in Carroll. His death followed a two-year illness.

Arthur John Stuhr, 57, Coon Rapids, died at 5 a.m. Friday, December 23, 1960, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Broich, 227 North Crawford Street, Carroll, following a two-year illness.

The body is resting at the Huffman Funeral Home in Carroll, where it may be viewed after 1 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral services will be at the Huffman Funeral Home Tuesday, December 27, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Allan M. Peterson, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Stuhr was born at Manning October 15, 1903, a son of Charles and Emma (Bock) Stuhr. He was married to Rose Ehlers at Manning in 1925. Mr. and Mrs. Stuhr farmed near Carroll until about five years ago, when they purchased a farm ten miles southeast of Coon Rapids.

Surviving are his wife, Rose, and one son, Lyall, at home near Coon Rapids; his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Louis (Lois) Broich and grandchildren, Marcia, David and Diane Broich, Carroll; a twin sister, Mrs. Ralph (Edna) Klinkefus, Colorado Springs, Colorado; three other sisters, Mrs. Albert (Mary) Jensen, Manning; Mrs. Lyle (Evelyn) Day, Glidden; and Mrs. William (Emma) Frey, in California; and two brothers, Herman Stuhr, Glidden, and Charles Stuhr, Arcadia.

Mr. Stuhr was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ida and Ella; and two brothers, Alfred and Louis.
