Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Lucinda (Goodwin) Weed and son,
Arnold Weed, of Missouri Valley have moved to Manning and reside in the Martin
Becker property. Arnold Weed will operate Coney Inn at 415 Main Street, the
home of Manning sandwiches in the Joe Rehker building. Arthur Weed will manage
an ice cream curb station in the Jake Bruck building on North Main Street.
Saturday will probably be the opening if equipment can be installed by that time.

Arthur C. Weed
Arthur C. Weed, 85, a retired farmer, died Thursday at a nursing home here.
Survivors include his widow Lucinda (Goodwin); a son, Arnold of Sacramento,
California; two daughters, Mrs. Peg Franklin of Omaha and Inez (Mrs. John)
Divelbest of Logan; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Missouri Valley
with the Rev. Charles Dutton officiating. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Hennessey-Van Cleave-Hurley Funeral Home is in charge.
