Death of August Polzin.
The remains of August Polzin, who died at Denver, September 13, arrived in the city Tuesday, and was taken to the home of his parents south of town, where the funeral services were held, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Lincoln Center Cemetery.

August Polzin was born in Audubon County, November 30, 1883, and died at Denver, Colorado, September 13, 1908. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Polzin, highly respected citizens of Audubon County, and was loved and respected by his many friends and acquaintances for his good qualities. He went west some time ago and in company with his brother took up a claim near Denver. He was taken sick with typhoid fever and notified his father, who left for that place immediately and had him removed to Denver, where he could secure better medical attendance, but the disease could not be checked and his death occurred at that place last Sunday. His father and brother accompanied the remains home.

Accident.
About eight weeks ago Florence Hepp, of Gray, had the misfortune of slipping and falling from a buggy on getting out at the German Church while attending the funeral of August Polzin, spraining her left ankle, and a few days after the accident rheumatism set in, causing her to suffer intense pain at times and moved from joint to joint. The nature of the disease was almost unbearable, and which ran its course of four weeks before any signs of relief.

But what is most desired for the good people to know is that the report which was circulated as to the cause of the young lady's illness is a falsehood, without any foundation whatever. It was started and circulated by tattlers and the busy tongues that have nothing else to do but attend to other people's business and who would rather tell a lie and keep the truth in their pocket. This lie caused much heartache, but there is nothing like finding people out, nothing like knowing who is untruthful and who is a true friend. So, dear reader, in the future believe nothing you hear and half you see and consider the source of such falsehoods and scandalous reports.
