A.H. Reichert, Manning Man, Goes in Death

August Henry Reichert, 65, died at his home on Third Street Sunday noon after a short illness.

Funeral services are to be at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Ohde Funeral Home, with the Rev. H.T. Timmer, minister of the Manilla Presbyterian Church, officiating. Music will be furnished by a quartet composed of Martha (Mrs. Nick C.) Schrum, Emma (Mrs. Albert) Dietz, Herman C. Pahde and Clifford M. Johnson, accompanied by Bonita (Mrs. Henry W.) Hagedorn.

Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery and pallbearers will be John Reimers, Hans Detlefsen, Julius Rostermundt, William Hauschildt, James Mundt, and Chris Barten.

Mr. Reichert, a retired farmer, was born in Schulan, Germany, March 23, 1878. In 1901, he came to the United States, settling at Remsen, Iowa.

He had been a resident of this community since May 1907. October 30 of the same year he was married to Miss Anna Claussen at Manning.

The couple farmed north of Manning until November 1936, when they purchased a residence in Manning, which has been their home since that time.

Mr. Reichert is survived by his wife; three daughters: Mrs. J.H. Wunder (Louise); Mrs. George Jackson (Elsie) and Mrs. Gordon Wycoff (Hertha), all of Manning; two grandchildren; and one brother, Andrew, in Germany.

Funeral services for August Henry Reichert, 65, will be held from the Ohde Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 o'clock. The Rev. H.T. Temmer of the Manilla Presbyterian church will be in charge of the service. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. J.H. Wunder, Mrs. George Jackson, and Miss Gordon Wycoff, all of Manning; two grandchildren and a brother in Germany.
