Funeral Services Held in Manning For Mrs. Steen
Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Wilhelm Steen, 72, were held at the Ohde Funeral home in Manning at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Brown Garlock, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated. Augusta passed away January 25, 1947, with burial in the Manning Cemetery.

Mrs. Steen was born Augusta Marie Roggenbuch in Radun, Germany, July 2, 1875. She and her sister, Ida, came to Galva, Iowa, October 4, 1897, to join another sister, Mrs. Carol Wieland.

She married Wilhelm Steen of Holstein in Ida Grove August 8, 1899. They came directly to Manning to make their home and have lived here since with the exception of one year, 1903, which they spent in South Dakota.

Mrs. Steen is survived by one son, Ben Steen, Carroll; sisters, Mrs. Conrad Franzmeir (Ida) of Truesdale, Iowa, and a granddaughter, Patricia Steen. Three children preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Ohde funeral home in Manning for Mrs. Wilhelm Steen, 72, who died Saturday at the home of her son, Ben, in Carroll after a short illness. Tile Rev. Brown Garlock conducted rites, with burial in the Manning Cemetery.
A native of Germany, Mrs. Steen is survived by her husband and the one son, Ben; a sister, Mrs. Conrad Franzmeir of Truesdale, Iowa, and a granddaughter.
