MRS. AUGUSTA VINKE
Mrs. Augusta Vinke, 86, formerly of Manning, died about 10 a.m. Monday, February 8, 1965, at the Holstein Nursing Home in Carroll where she had made her home for the past three years. Daughter of Heinrich and Anna (Schroeder) Schroeder, she was born October 31, 1878, in Clinton County.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, with interment in the Manning Cemetery.

Mrs. Vinke is survived by four daughters, Mrs. T.A. (Alfreda) Lake, Bradenton, Florida; Mrs. Herman W. (Anna) Hagedorn, Mrs. John (Laura) Gaffney, and Mrs. John (Henrietta) Schaben, Carroll; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Jahn, Manning, and Mrs. Irving Stombaugh, Eagan, South Dakota; two brothers, Herman Schroeder, Flandreau, South Dakota; and Hannes Schroeder, Eventide Home, Denison; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Julia Thiedeman Manning.

Mrs. Ann Hagedorn, who has been spending the winter in Bradenton, Florida, with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Lake, returned home Thursday, accompanied by the Lakes. They were called by the death of the women's mother, Mss. Augusta Vide, on Monday.

Funeral services for Mrs. Augusta Vinke, 86, longtime resident here, were held Friday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. Interment was in the Manning Cemetery.

Mrs. Minke had lived in a Carroll nursing home for the past three years. She is survived by four daughters, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers.
