IN POOR HEALTH
Mrs. Puck passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday night, March 7, 1937. She had been in poor health for many years.

She was born Bertha Goettsch in Probstei, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, December 31, 1858. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith when a child and had been a member of the church ever since that time.

Coming to America at the age of 17, she settled at Davenport, Iowa, where she met and married Hans Puck. The ceremony took place on February 8, 1898.

MOVED TO FARM
Four years later they came to a farm east of Manning, where they lived for 16 years. They were residing there when Mr. Puck passed away in 1898. After his death Mrs. Puck and sons moved to Manning, where they have lived since that time.

Surviving are two sons, Herman and Albert Puck, both of Manning, two grandchildren, Willis and Betty Puck, and one brother, William Goettsch, who is seriously ill in the Carroll hospital at the present time.

CARD OF THANKS
We desire to express our heart-felt thanks to our neighbors and friends who so kindly assisted us during the hours of our recent bereavement. Words cannot express the full appreciation that we feel. We wish especially to thank Pastor Ansorge for the many kind favors in the last hours and the consoling words at the bier of our beloved mother. Many thanks also to the choir and to those who sent the beautiful floral offerings.
