Carl Schuenemann OBITUARY.
November 19, 1914 Manning Monitor
Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Schuenemann passed away, Sunday night November 8, 1914. He was born October 5, 1856, in Pommern, Germany, and after having emigrated to America in 1881, was united in marriage to Tine Balske, at Sioux City, Iowa, in 1883. The couple lived in Nebraska for several years, but from 1887 to 1900 they lived in Sioux City again. Then they moved on a farm one mile south of Manning and last spring they moved to Manning, where they purchased the house of Theodore Rix.

He was attacked by pleurisy some months ago. He seemed to have recovered, but he was attacked by the same sickness a while ago, and was overcome by death after a few days of sickness. Besides his surviving wife there are three children mourning the bereavement their father: Anne Wilhelmine, at Spokane, Washington; Marie Pauline, at home and Carl Hermann at Los Angeles, California; also a brother Herman Schuenemann, who married Nora Herring, of Spokane, Washington, a sister who died 20 years ago, she was married to Albert Schroeder, at Sioux City.

Rev. Gustav Tillmanns officiated, lead the mourning services. Kriegerverein paid the last honor to their comrade and the Gesangverein sang comforting mourning hymns for their deceased members, relatives, and friends.

Kind hands took the body to the Manning Cemetery where it was laid at rest.

The deceased was a kind-hearted and hard working man who had a deep regard for the rights of others. He will be missed, sadly missed but He who made him took him away. May he rest in peace, is the wish of all his friends.

I'm occasionally adding the actual scanned image of the obituary I make using my VERY expensive - large commercial scanner, and/or also other articles about the deceased person that were published in the Manning Monitor.
I want to also comment about people who are taking my obituaries, pictures, and/or other articles about a person/family and posting them on other websites.
You do NOT have permission or the right to do this - you are stealing my historical work.
Buy your own scanning equipment, pay for memberships to other commercial websites, and spend decades working on your local history like I have - then you'll understand why I'm making these comments!

Thank you for your attention to this matter - Dave Kusel
