In 1911, she was united in marriage to Mr. Albert Mutschall of Audubon. They settled on a farm and then in 1918 they retired and came to Manning. Mr. Mutschall passed away in 1924.
Mrs. Mutschall apparently enjoyed good health until last summer when her health began to fail. In the fall she had a stroke from which she never fully recovered. Since then she had suffered more or less and her sister, Mrs. Johannsen, had been a companion and nurse to her and through loving kindness eased her suffering and comforted her in her declining days.
She passed away quietly Saturday evening, January 2nd, 1937, at the age of 72 years, 1 month, and 18 days.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her step-mother, Mrs.
Louise Heuermann; one step-son Ernest Mutschall of Audubon County; one
step-daughter, Mrs. Emery of Coon Rapids; four brothers: John Heuermann of
Bellevue, Dakota, George Heuermann of Des Moines, Amos Heuermann - missing information from damaged bottom corner of Monitor

Plan Funeral Rites For Mrs. A. Mutschall
Manning Woman Passes Away After Long Sickness
Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Mutschall, 72, of Manning, will be held in the
Zion Lutheran Church at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Pastor John M. Ansorge, will
have charge. Mrs. Mutschall passed away at her home
in Manning Saturday evening after suffering with paralysis since November 1, 1937.
She was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, November 13,
1864. She came to Davenport in 1883. In 1884, she was married to Theodore
Martins, who passed away in 1907. In 1911, she was married to Albert Mutschall.
Mr. Mutschall died in 1925.
Mrs. Mutschall has been a resident of Manning for the past 18 years.
She is survived by a step-mother, three step-children, five brothers, one
sister, and a half-sister. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Audubon.
