Mr. Stone, who had been seriously ill for a week, died at his home in South Manning on June 10, 1950. He was born in Örebro län (Orebro County), Sweden, on May 24, 1871, and came to America in 1891.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen (Stenstrom), and three daughters; Mrs. John Strandberg, (Celia), Englewood, California; Mrs. Howard King (Mildred), Rapid City, South Dakota; and Mrs. Gifford Yager, (Helen), of Coon Rapids. He leaves three brothers, Gotfried Stone, Palmer, Nebraska; Sven Stone of Hordville, Nebraska; and Axel in Sweden. Three sisters, Jennie, Anna, and Ellen also live in Sweden. There are 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, and one son, Carl Alber Stone, preceded him in death in 1942.
