Charles was born March 15, 1870, in Portsmouth, Scott County, Ohio. He died at his home 2424 Bristol Street, Omaha, Nebraska, at 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 1938; aged 67 years, 11 months, and 29 days. If he had lived four hours longer, he would have been 68 years old.
Charles Weidner was a Mason in Manning Lodge No. 450 for 29 years, 8 months, and 15 days. Even though he moved to Omaha twenty or more years ago he kept his membership at Manning.
Charles M. Weidner, 68, Omaha general contractor who formerly operated here at Manning, died Monday, March 14th, 1938, at his home in Omaha at 2428 Bristol Street, after a lingering illness. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and Liberty Chapter of Eastern Star, Omaha; and of local Manual Lodge 450 A.F. & A.M.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Clinkenbeard of Omaha and Mrs. H.E. Salisbury of Chicago, and a son, George E., of Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral services were held in Omaha yesterday morning and burial was made in the Manning cemetery yesterday afternoon with Masonic rites.
Mr. Weidner is well known in Manning, having moved from here to Omaha. The family lived on Third Street in what is now the Andresen estate property.
