Chris Pfoltner
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Ohde funeral home in Manning for Chris Pfoltner, 65, who died last Wednesday, August 30, 1950. He had been ill a long time. The Rev. Brown Garlock officiated.

Pfoltner, who was a retired farmer, was born at Davenport January 2, 1885, son of Jurgen and Frauke (Hoffmann) Pfoltner.

Surviving is his widow, Amanda; a nephew, George Pfoltner; mother, Mrs. Jurgen Pfoltner of Manning; four brothers: Hans, George, and Charles of Manning; Herman of Maquoketa; and five sisters, Mrs. Kate Horman, Mrs. Hertha Trobough, and Mrs. Louis Schelldorf, of Manning; Mrs. Irwin Studeman of Renwick; and Mrs. R. Fordyce of Spokane, Washington.

CHRIS PFOLTNER, 65, WAS BURIED SATURDAY
Funeral services for Chris Pfoltner, 65, retired farmer, were held from Ohde Funeral home here Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Brown Garlock, minister of the Manning Methodist Church officiating. Music was by the Presbyterian quartet.

Pallbearers were Herman Hargens, Herman Anthony, John J. Struve, George Graves, Sr., Herbert Bromert, and Emil Sander. Interment was in Manning Cemetery. Mr. Pfoltner was born near Davenport January 2, 1885, and passed away in Manning Wednesday, August 30, at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 28 days. He had been bedfast for several days and death came in his home at 8:30 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, the former Amanda Gebhart, and a nephew, George Pfoltner, whom he reared. There is also his mother, Mrs. Jurgen Pfoltner, 95, of Manning; four brothers, Hans, George, and Charles of Manning, and Herman of Maquoketa; five sisters, Mrs. Kate Horman, Mrs. Hernia Trobaugh, and Mrs. Alma Schelldorf of Manning; Mrs. Irwin Studeman (Anna) of Renwick; and Mrs. G.R. Fordyce (Lillian) of Spokane, Washington.

CARD OF THANKS
We wish to sincerely thank the many friends, neighbors, and relatives for their kindness shown at the time of our recent bereavement, also Dr. Morton and Dr. Hornberger for their considerate care; also for the many beautiful floral offerings and the Rev.
