Mrs. Gust Paape, 84, Of Dodge Center, Dies
Mrs. Gust Paape, 84, of Dodge Center, and formerly of Waltham, died Monday, November 29, 1979, at Fieldcrest Nursing Home in Hayfield, where she had lived since 1971.

The former Clara Wulf, she was born August 14, 1892, in Remsen, Iowa, daughter of Ferdinand and Elizabeth (Boldt) Wulf, and married Mr. Gust Paape on September 12, 1917, in Waltham. The couple farmed in the Waltham area until 1949, when they retired and moved to Dodge Center. Both Mr. and Mrs. Paape entered the nursing home in 1971, and he preceded her in death earlier this year.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Verna) Wutschke of Dodge Center and Mrs. Harvey (Evelyn) Schmidt of Floyd, Iowa; seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

One son, two grandchildren, two sisters and seven brothers preceded her in death.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in rural Waltham, with the Rev. Karl Koch officiating. Burial will be in the Saint Michaels Lutheran Cemetery, Waltham, Minnesota.

Friends may call at Gust Funeral Home here from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, then at church one hour before service.

Mrs. Gust (Clara) Paape, 84, died Monday night at Fieldcrest Nursing Home, Hayfield.

A Dodge Center resident and formerly of Waltham, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Verna) Wutschke, Dodge Center, Mrs. Harvey (Evelyn) Schmidt, Floyd, Iowa; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday.
