I'm not 100% sure the Clark Swiger in the death notice is the Clark Swiger in the article below, but his daughter married Fred Signall of Manning, so this does provide Manning connections with the death notice.

Clark Swiger, 71, well-known farmer of this community, committed suicide today by taking poison. He was said to have been despondent because of continued ill health. Swiger was born in Peoria County, Illinois. He is survived by his widow and one grandchild.
