MRS. CLETHUS ROBERTS

Mrs. Clethus Elza Roberts, 68, of Manning died at the Manning General Hospital Friday, December 17, 1971, after a three-day illness.

Services will be held here at 11 a.m. Monday at the Ohde Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Arends, pastor of the Manilla Presbyterian Church, will officiate; burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday. There will be an Eastern Star memorial service at Ohde's at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Roberts was born September 21, 1903, at Coon Rapids, a daughter of Louis and Ida (Mowder) Jordan. She attended Coon Rapids schools and Drake University and taught in rural schools. Her marriage to Earl Edward Roberts took place in 1927 and they moved to Manning in 1930. Mr. Roberts died in 1967.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William D. Roberts of Newton; three grandchildren; a brother, Roswell Jordan, Coon Rapids; and four sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Irene) Brutsche of Geneseo, Illinois; Mrs. Charles (Louise) Tuel and Mrs. Ted (Dee) Mozena, Coon Rapids; and Mrs. George (Frances) Weitl, Carroll.

Mrs. Roberts was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, and Garden Club, all at Manning.
