Conrad Miller Died Tuesday
Funeral services for Conrad Miller, 85, well-known Manning resident, were held yesterday, December 20, 1938, at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor John M. Ansorge officiating. The body was shipped to Exeter, Nebraska, for burial.

Mr. Miller suffered a severe fall at his home here Saturday evening in which he received serious head injuries and other internal injuries. Death came Tuesday morning at three o'clock.

Conrad Miller was born February 15, 1853, in Hatzbach, Hessia-Nassau, Germany. In 1868, he came to America and settled in Ohio and later in Illinois. Here he was married to Elizabeth (Wilkey); ten children being born to the union, five of whom are still living: John and Henry of Exeter, Nebraska; Mrs. Emilia Greene of McCook, Nebraska, Mrs. Mattie Smith, Exeter, and Mrs. Nellie Plettner of Exeter.

Following the death of his first wife he married Caroline (Ebbeka) Bode who passed away eight years ago.

Six years ago, he married Mrs. Augusta (Mutschall) Berg of Manning and has made his home here since that time.

Following funeral services yesterday at one o'clock, the body was taken to Exeter, Nebraska, for burial. Acting as pall-bearers were Herman Hagedorn, Chris Barten, John Frahm, Henry Meyers, John Mohr, Harry Raebel.

He is mourned by his children, his widow, Mrs. Miller, 3 step-sons, 3 step-daughters, 35 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
