Miss Edith May McQuaid
Miss Edith May McQuaid, 82, retired newspaper and insurance woman died Wednesday, August 9, 1961, at a local convalescent home. She was born October 7, 1878, at Manning, Iowa, daughter of John and Margaret (Goundry) McQuaid, and came to Arkansas with her parents as a child of eight years. She was a long-time Springdale resident.

Surviving is a brother, Dr. Charles A. McQuaid, of Oklahoma City; a niece, Mrs. Mildred Harrison of Springdale, with whom she made her home; and a nephew, Don Lovell of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Funeral services will he conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Callison-Sisco Chapel by Ike by the Rev. O.B. Davis, Jr. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery, Springdale, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were Dean Allen, Russell Seay, Shelby Ford, Ray Herren, Edward Gay, and Clyde Murphy.
