Mrs. Edna A. Wyatt, 88, the daughter of Myron C. and Judith Amelia (Lotspeich) Smith, was born on October 15, 1884, at Persia, Iowa. She attended school both in Iowa and Nebraska and later attended Nebraska Wesleyan University.
She was married July 5, 1904, to Orren William Wyatt. After he completed his medical studies, the family moved to Manning in 1910, where Dr. Wyatt died in 1942. Mrs. Wyatt continued to live in her home in Manning until September of 1972 when she moved to the Manning Plaza. She died suddenly on Monday, January 1, 1973, at the home of her daughter, Clara (Mrs. Alvin W.) Martens in Manning where she was spending the day.
Mrs. Wyatt was a member of Manning organizations including a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, a 50-year member of the Women's Club, a member of United Methodist Church, the Women's Society of Christian Service, and P.E.O.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Wyatt was preceded in death by her parents, and five brothers and sisters.
Survivors include five children, Dr. Merlin R. Wyatt,
Tucson, Arizona; Mrs. Alvin W. (Clara) Martens, Manning; Mrs.
Ray (Vera) Rinderhagen, Indio, California; Mrs. Paul (Louise) Nordbie,
Winlock, Washington; Lester Wyatt, Spirit Lake, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Edna A. Wyatt, 88, of Manning died unexpectedly here Monday, January 1, 1973,
at the home of her daughter, Clara (Mrs. Alvin W.) Martens, where she was
spending New Year's Day. She was the widow of a Manning physician, Dr. Orren William Wyatt.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, where friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Don Griffin will officiate; organist will be Mrs. Bonita Hagedorn. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.
