MRS. ELLEN STONE
Funeral rites for Mrs. Ellen Stone, 91, will be held at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning Thursday, April 25, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Carl Sinning, pastor of the Manning Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Ray Pratt will be soloist, and Bonita (Mrs. Henry W.) Hagedorn the organist. She passed away April 21, 1963, and burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Born in Stockholm, Sweden, July 7, 1871, she came to Michigan at the age of 20. In 1893, she married Charles Stone; and the couple farmed in Nebraska until moving to Audubon County in 1908. They lived near Coon Rapids until their retirement to Manning in 1942. Mr. Stone died June 10, 1950.

Mrs. Stone lived in Manning for several years following her husband's death, then made her home with a daughter, Helen (Mrs. Gifford) Yager, at Coon Rapids. For the past 4 1/2 years she has lived with another daughter, Mildred (Mrs. Howard) King at Rapid City, South Dakota.

She died at Rapid City Sunday. Her body was brought to Manning Monday evening.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents and one son, Carl Alber Stone in 1942. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. King, Mrs. Yager and Mrs. Cecelia Strandberg, Inglewood, California; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
