The body is resting at the Ohde Funeral Home.
Mr. Popp, son of Carl Detlef and Fredericka (Jentzen) Popp, was born November 9, 1907, in Washington Township, Carroll County. He was married to Leora Martens February 5, 1930.
Surviving with his wife are four daughters: Mrs. John Vanderheiden, Jr. (Neoma), Carroll; Betty Lou, at home; Mrs. Allan Jensen (Janice) Manning; and Gloria, at home; two grandchildren; five brothers: William Popp, Carroll; Detlef, Louis and Henry Popp, Manning; and Erwin Popp, Walnut; and two sisters, Mrs. Bert (Mamie) Eich, Manning, and Mrs. George (Wilma) Wiese, Schaller; and his father-in-law, Detlef Martens, with whom he and his family live one-half mile south of Manning.
Mr. Popp had worked at the Manning Mill and other places here.

Funeral services for Elmer Frederick Popp, 49, will be held Saturday afternoon from Zion Lutheran Church.
Pastor George B. Eschenbacher will officiate and interment will be in the Manning Cemetery.
Mr. Popp died of cancer at his home here Wednesday, June 26, 1957, following a lengthy illness.
Survivors are his widow; four daughters, Mrs. John
Vanderheiden, Jr., Carroll; Mrs. Allen Jensen, Manning; and Betty Lou and
Gloria at home; five brothers, William of Carroll; Detlef, Henry, and Louis,
all of Manning; Erwin of Walnut; two sisters: Mrs. Bert Eich, Manning, and Mrs. George Wiese of Schaller.
