Daughter of Claus and Elsabe (Georgius) Langbehn, she was born in Crawford County, Iowa, near Aspinwall, October 3, 1895, and had moved to Washington in 1904, stopping first at Goldendale and later here. She was graduated from Tekoa High School and Eastern Washington University at Cheney, before teaching at Minnie Falls School, a small rural school in Lincoln County, and later in the Tekoa School system.
Survivors are two sons, Dale of Newport, Washington, and
Donald of Flagstaff, Arizona; two daughters, Betty Jean Wilhelm of Pensacola,
Florida, and Edwina Brimble of Houston; a brother, William C. Langbehn of
Tekoa; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
