Miss Urban, 31, Manning Polio Victim, Is Dead
Miss Elsie Urban, 31, died at her home here last night, November 20, 1946. She had been an invalid since being stricken with infantile paralysis when eight years old and had spent most of her life in a wheelchair.

Funeral services are to be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ohde Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Miss Urban was the daughter of Mrs. Amanda Urban of Manning, who survives. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Fred Stumpe, Manning, and Mrs. LeRoy Ranniger, Carroll.

She was born August 3, 1915, at Kingsley, Iowa, daughter of Fred and Helene (Kollmetz) Urban. The family moved from Kingsley to a farm near Wadena, Minnesota, where they lived until 1937. The home has been at Manning since then.

Miss Urban's father preceded her in death.

Miss Urban, who had been crippled since she was 8 years old by infantile paralysis, is survived by her mother and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Stumpe of Manning and Mrs. Leroy Ranniger of Carroll.
