Elsie (Hoesley) White
Elsie White of Vida, Oregon, passed away at a local hospital on March 18, 1980. She was born January 8, 1894, in Manning, Iowa, daughter of Peter and Caroline (Stribe) Hoesly, and was united in marriage to George D.E. White in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on December 24, 1917. Resident of Vide the past 8 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 sisters: Mrs. Barbara Peterson of Des Moines, Washington, and Ellen (Mrs. Percey) Fry of Rock Island, Illinois. Private services were held at the Poole-Larsen Chapel. Please omit flowers. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell, Iowa.

Henry, John, and Caroline retained the Hoesly spelling - the rest of the siblings changed it to Hoesley.
