Clifford M. Johnson sang solos for the service, accompanied by Bonita (Mrs. Henry W.) Hagedorn. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery with Ralph G. Sutherland, Ed Wiese, James Mundt, John Peters, John Schelldorf, and Charles Thiedeman as pallbearers.
Mrs. Patton was born on July 21, 1869, at Wheatland, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claus and Elsabe (Voss) Hagge. She moved with her parents to Hayes Township at the age of one year, and when 20 came to live in Manning.
On October 25, 1900, she was united in marriage with Dwight Patton at Manning. Mr. Patton passed away in 1942.
Mrs. Patton is survived by a daughter, Mrs. August Warnke (Alice), Carroll, with whom she had lived for seven years; a son, Dr. Edward Patton of Iowa City, two grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Minnie Hanemann, Denison, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Patton became ill on June 4 and passed away at St.
Anthony Hospital in Carroll on June 9, 1950.
