Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Rohde, 77, of Manilla, were held Saturday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. Burial was in Manning Cemetery.

Mrs. Rohde died Thursday, October 17, 1968, at a Denison nursing home, where she had lived for three years.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ray Opperman, Milford; Mrs. Roger Georgius, Manilla; and one grandchild.

MRS. CLAUS H. (EMMA) ROHDE
The last rites for Mrs. Claus H. (Emma Dorothea) Rohde, 77, of Manilla will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manilla in charge of the Rev. Herbert Kothe, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

A long-time resident of the Manilla area, Mrs. Rohde had been in ill health several years and entered the Claudia Nursing Home at Denison three years ago. She died there Thursday night.

She was born May 8, 1891, at Minden, daughter of William Miller and Catherine (Glisman) Miller. She came to the Manilla community with her parents. After their marriage, the Rohdes farmed near Manilla, where he died in 1936. She then lived in Westside for a year and returned to Manilla in 1938, living there until she entered the Claudia Home.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two sons and a daughter in infancy. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ray (LaVanna) Opperman of Milford and Mrs. Roger (Della) Georgius of Manilla, and one grandchild.
