Emma was born October 18, 1875, in Crawford County, daughter of Henry and Margaretha (Hilbert) Wegner, and spent her entire life in Crawford and Carroll Counties and had lived on the same farm in Carroll County for the last 38 years. As Miss Emma Wegner she was married to William Sander at Denison, February 18, 1899. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Surviving is her husband; three sons, Roy, Ray, and Herbert;
three sisters and two brothers: Anna (Mrs. Fred) Ehlers of Manning, Gusta (Mrs.
Charles) Ehlers of Sunol, Nebraska, George Wegner of Manning, Frank Wegner of
Whitefish, Montana, Margaret (Mrs. Hugo) Kuhl of near Manning; and five grandchildren.

Manning Woman Dies Saturday, Council Bluffs
Mrs. William Sander, 67, succumbed to a heart ailment Saturday evening at the
Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, where she had been a patient for the past ten days.
She had been ill since last September.
Funeral services are to be at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Lutheran Church here, with Pastor John M. Ansorge officiating.
Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery, with Jacob Carsten, Detlef Martens, Alfred Nissen, Emil Wiese, Henry J.M. Hansen, and Frank Hinz serving as pallbearers. Rites are under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sander, who was born in Crawford County October 18, 1875, spent her entire life in Crawford and Carroll Counties. Her maiden name was Emma Wegner. She had lived on the same farm in Warren Township, Carroll County, for thirty-eight years.
February 18, 1899, she was married at Denison to William Sander, who survives. She also leaves three sons, Roy, Ray, and Herbert, all of Manning, and five grandchildren, Donna, Billy, Carol, Burton, and Faith, all of Manning.
Three sisters and two brothers also survive. They are Mrs. Fred Ehlers (Anna), Mrs. Charles Ehlers (Augusta), Sunol, Nebraska; George Wegner, Manning; Frank Wegner, Whitefish, Montana; and Mrs. Hugo Kuhl (Margaret), near Manning.
Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death: Emil Ehlers, Oval (Mrs. Herman) Sinow, William Wegner, and Emil Wegner.
Mrs. Sander was a member of the Lutheran Church.
