Last Rites Held For Mrs. W.E. Norden, Here
Mrs. Ethel Norden, wife of Dr. William E. Norden who has lived in Manning since July 1935, passed away at her home after a prolonged illness, on September 2, 1938, at the age of 58 years, 9 months, and 17 days. She was born at Brooklyn, New York, on November 15, 1879.

On July 14, 1927, she was united in marriage to Dr. William E. Norden at Stromsburg, Nebraska, where they lived until they came to Manuring. Since her residence here she has been unable to take an active part in the affairs of the community. Her quiet life here hindered her from becoming widely acquainted. She was a member of the order of Eastern Star, Shelby Chapter 1930, and held a membership in the Christian Church in her former home.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. W.E. Norden; one daughter, Mrs. F.C. Wagelschmidt, Pittsfield Massachusetts; two sisters also of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and one brother in Brooklyn, New York.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Ohde Funeral Home in charge of Rev. E.E. Zimmerman of Vail. Salona Chapter, O.E.S. also had a part in the services. The body was taken to Stromsburg, Nebraska, for burial.
