Funeral Rites for Miss Ethel Mae Sherman Held at Manning
Funeral services for Miss Ethel Sherman, who died in Des Moines Wednesday, November 25, 1941, were conducted at the Ohde Funeral Home here at 3 o'clock this afternoon, following rites in Des Moines at 10 o'clock this morning. The Rev. F. C. Aldrich, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery, with cousins serving as pallbearers.

Miss Sherman, born April 14, 1898, who was 43 years old, was a waitress in the tea room of Hotel Fort Des Moines at the time of her death. She had been a patient in the Methodist Hospital, Des Moines, for about two weeks.

She was a daughter of the late Norman Sherman, who at one time operated a bakery in Manning. Her mother, Cora Belle (Peters) Sherman, and one sister survive.
