Eunice Viola Raes, 83, formerly of 1216 26th St., Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, January 3, 1999, at Heartland Healthcare Center, Moline.
Services will be 9 am. Saturday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline, and 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, where she was a member. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a 2 p.m. combined rosary by Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society and National Catholic Society of Foresters Sacred Heart Court 956 and a Christian wake service at 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the church or Alzheimers Association.
Eunice was born December 28, 1915, in Manning, Iowa, the daughter of John and Laura (Hale) Junge. She graduated from Manning High School in 1933.
She married Joseph G. Raes October 31, 1936, in Moline. He died March 24, 1998.
She was a graduate of the former Moline Public Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse, retiring in 1975, after employment for 39 years with former Moline Public Hospital and former Fairbanks-Morse Co., East Moline.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Altar and Rosary Society, National Catholic Society of Foresters Sacred Heart Court 956, Royal Neighbors of America and was past president of Logan School, Moline, Parent Teachers Association.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, George and Twliah Raes, Welton, Iowa, and Robert and Janet Raes, West Linn, Oregon; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
