Funeral services for Evelyn Motsch, Buena Park, California, were held at Buena Park, August 8. Mrs. Motsch, the former Evelyn Grantz of Manning, died Monday afternoon, August 5, after a short illness.

She is survived by her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Harry Hoffmann, Manning, and Mrs. Paul Petersen, Buena Park. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Sutherland; a son, Donald, who died in World War II, a sister, Leona, a brother, Walter, and her parents.

She was reared in Manning and was a 1910 graduate of the local school.

Ex-resident succumbs in Orange, California
Charles D. Motsch, a former resident of San Pedro and member of the International Longshoremen's and Warehousemen's Union, Local 13 of Wilmington, died Thursday in Orange.

Requiem mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Pius V Catholic Church, Buena Park. Arrangements are being handled by Renaker Mortuary, Buena Park.

Mr. Motsch is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Marasco of Wilmington and a sister, Mary C. Mosher of Venice. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
