Frank Stribe Graveside Rites Held in Manning
Graveside services for Frank R. Stribe, 81, a Hartley, Iowa, were held in Manning Saturday with the Presbyterian minister of Hartley in charge. Pallbearers were Frank, Herbert, and Earl Stribe, Alfred and Orlo Nissen, and Nick F. Konrady of Odebolt, all nephews. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Frank Stribe died at his home in Hartley, Wednesday, December 17, 1941, following a stroke, suffered the Sunday before. He was doing his usual chores on his farm, when stricken. He had not been ill previously.

He was born May 6, 1861, in Fulton, Illinois, the son, of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. and Caroline (Munz) Stribe, who were pioneer residents of Manning. When a small boy he came with his parents to this section of the country. He made his home in Manning until the spring of 1903, when he moved to Hartley.

His wife, the former Ruth Barber, passed away in June 1931. He is survived by the following children: Ralph, Milwaukee; Mrs. Henry Ramsey (Florence) Hartley, Mrs. John R. Gilbertz (Eugenia), White Lake, South Dakota; also a brother, George Stribe of Manning, who was 85 Friday.

A son, Arthur (1888), and daughter, Flossie (1892), preceded him in death, passing away in infancy, also a daughter, Mrs. Charles Albright (Ethel), about nine years ago. Four sisters have also passed away.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and had been a farmer all his life.
