He is survived by his wife, Amanda; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Gertie) Wiese, Rushmore, Minnesota; Mrs.
George (Viola) Relf, Egan; Mrs. Desmond (Edna) Johnson, Egan; two sons,
Herman and Emil, Flandreau; one sister, Mrs. Mary Carstens of Manilla, Iowa; and 18
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
George Peper, 70, died Sunday, April 8, 1956
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Orvedahl Chapel and 2 p.m., from Our Savior's Lutheran
Church with the Rev. Richard Nelson officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery, Flandreau, South Dakota.
Son of George and Sophia (Meggohtsen) Peper, he was born November 9, 1885, at Manilla, Iowa. Married Amanda Jahn, March 24, 1909, at Manilla. Moved to South Dakota in 1914. Moved to Flandreau from farm in 1943.
Survivors are the widow; five children: Gertie (Mrs. Robert)
Wiese, Rushmore, Minnesota; Viola (Mrs. George) Reif, and Edna (Mrs. Desmond)
Johnson, Egan; Herman and Emil, Flandreau; a sister; and 18 grandchildren.
