All friends and relatives are invited to return to the church for luncheon and fellowship following the committal services.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church here, with the Rev. Ronald E. Meyers officiating. Pallbearers will be Wayne Elwell, Roger Weinbrandt, John Sievertsen, David Walter, Gary Walter, and Dean Walter. Burial will be in the Iowa Township Cemetery. The Ohde Funeral Home of Manilla is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sievertsen, son of Robert and Alvina (Schweiso) Sievertsen, was born June 3, 1917, in Nishnabotna Township, Crawford County, and attended rural school near his home. He was married to Cecil Walter April 27, 1937, and they farmed near Manilla, Defiance and Portsmouth before moving to Harlan 2 1/2 years ago. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Larry, of Sac City; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Amos of Portland, Oregon, and Wesley of Des Moines.
A son and a brother, Alden, preceded him in death.
