Harry Martin Petersen, 76, of Manning died Wednesday noon, May 1, 1974, at Manning General Hospital after being in failing health for several years.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ohde Funeral Home here with burial in the Manning Cemetery. The Rev. Don Griffin, minister of the United Methodist Church, will officiate. Friends may start calling at Ohde Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Petersen, son of Martin and Sophie (Boss) Petersen, was born at Walnut April 4, 1898. At the age of four years he came to Manning with his family and attended school here. On December 15, 1920, he married Catherine Dalgety at Omaha, Nebraska, and they farmed near Manning for six years before moving into Manning.

Survivors include his wife, four children, Mrs. Glenn (Dorothy) Rowedder of Manning; Harold of Arlington Heights, Illinois; Ralph of Marion and Mrs. Dick (Janice) McConnell of Early; thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a brother, Willus Petersen of Woodburn, Oregon; and a sister, Mrs. Clara Strathman of Long Beach, California.

Mr. Petersen was preceded in death by two granddaughters; an infant sister and another sister. Mrs. Alma Kuhse.
