Mr. Schade died Wednesday, December 13, 1961, at Manning General Hospital.
The body will be taken from the Ohde Funeral Home at noon Saturday to the church. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery, with nephews serving as pallbearers.
He was born February 14, 1891, near Manilla, a son of Henry and Sophia (Grage) Schade. He attended Manilla Schools, graduating from Manilla High School, and then farmed near there. On January 24, 1917, he was married to Ella Fischer. After their marriage they farmed for about ten years before coming to Manning.
For 13 years he was an employee of Manning Creamery Company; and then worked as a service station attendant. He had been confined to his home because of ill health for the past six years.
Surviving is his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Merle (Louella) Knight, Council Bluffs; three granddaughters and one great-granddaughter, all of Council Bluffs; and one brother, Herbert Schade, Rock Island, Illinois.
His parents, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Harry Schade, 70, were held Saturday at Zion Lutheran
Church in Manning with burial in the Manning Cemetery.
He died at Manning General Hospital Wednesday following a long illness. He had been confined to his home for the past six years.
He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Merle Knight,
Council Bluffs; three granddaughters; a great-granddaughter, and a brother.
