Henry Schade Of Aspinwall Died Monday
Funeral Rites Will Be Thursday in Ohde Funeral Home, Manning
Henry Schade of Aspinwall, who would have been seventy-eight years old October 6, died Monday morning, October 2, 1939, at the hospital in Iowa City after a short illness. Mr. Schade was taken ill about a week ago and was removed to the Iowa City hospital last Wednesday. He had previously been in good health.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, with the Rex. Alexander Wimberly, minister of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Manilla Cemetery, with Herman Nagl, Peter Siem, Hans Clausen, Fred Boyens, and Emil and Louis Ehrichs serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Schade was born in Germany October 6, 1861. A farmer all his life, he located at Clinton when he first came from Germany, moving from there to Manilla and later to Aspinwall, having lived in the Aspinwall vicinity for the last thirty-five years. All of his children were born while living at Manilla.

Mr. Schade's wife, Sophia (Grage) died about twenty-two years ago. He was also preceded in death by one son, Alfred.

Surviving are four sons, George Schade of Aspinwall, with whom he made his home; Harry Schade, Manning; Henry Schade, Des Moines; Herbert Schade, Rock Island, Illinois; one daughter, Lillian (Mrs. William) Kuhl, Manning; one sister, Mrs. Hugo Schallenberg, St. Paul; and three brothers: John Schade, Manning; William Schade, Manilla, and Louis Schade, Denison.

His son, George Schade, is very ill in the Wyatt Hospital at Manning at present.

Hold Rites for Henry Schade
Funeral services for Henry Schade, 78, of Aspinwall was held in the Ohde Funeral Home Thursday afternoon.

Mr. Schade died Monday at the hospital in Iowa City, where he had been for about a week. He had previously been in good health.

Burial will be in the Manilla Cemetery.

He survived by four sons, George, Aspinwall; Harry, Manning; Henry, Des Moines; Herbert, Rock Island; one daughter, Lillian (Mrs. William) Kuhl, Manning; one sister, Mrs. Hugo Schallenberg, St. Paul, Minnesota; and three brothers: John, Manning; William, Manilla; and Louis, Denison.
