Henry Widdekind
Henry Widdekind, 74 years old, died Friday evening, December 5, 1924, at the home of his son, Hans Widdekind,
2305 Jessup Street. His death was due to injuries he received when struck by an
automobile at Fourth and Market Streets two weeks ago. Following the accident
Mr. Widdekind was taken to the Delaware Hospital, but was removed to his son's home shortly after.
Mr. Widdekind was born in Germany and had lived in Wilmington for about twenty-three years. He was a member of the Wilmington Turngemeinde and took an active interest in the affairs of that organization.
He is survived by three sons. Carl Widdekind, of Iowa; Fred Widdekind, of Perryville, Maryland; and Paul Widdekind, 2303 Jessup Street, with whom he lived.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon, with
interment in Silverbrook Cemetery.
