Jacob Harvey Wolfe, 88, formerly of Manning, died late Tuesday afternoon, June 26, 1956, at his home in Exira.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ohde Funeral Home here. The Rev. Wall, minister of the Christian Church at Exira, will officiate. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.
While residing in Manning, Mr. Wolfe worked for the Manning Creamery Company. He moved to Nekoosa, Wisconsin, in 1944, and to Exira in 1954.
Son of the late Joseph H. and Martha (Lacey) Wolfe, Mr. Wolfe was born April 10, 1888. He was married to Elizabeth Evans at Manning in 1923.
Surviving with his wife are two sons, Melvin Wolfe, Manning, and Vernon Wolfe, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; two daughters, Mrs. Guy (Louise) McClain, Exira, and Mrs. Fred (Lucretia) Whitmore, Storm Lake; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters. Mrs. Joe (Jenny) Mersman, Audubon, and Mrs. Lillian Stone, Exira, and three brothers: George Wolfe, Exira; Ray Wolfe, Des Moines, and Joe Wolfe, Jefferson.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
