Note: Phoebe is buried in the Manning Cemetery
The remains of Mr. Mills will be borne to Manilla on the 12:45 p.m. train tomorrow, and, after short services at the Presbyterian Church, of which the deceased was a member, will be laid to rest beside those of the wife.
Mr. Mills came with his parents from Indiana to Fulton County, at the age of 12 years, and later to Louisa County, Iowa, where, in 1845, he was joined in marriage to Ann Coulter. Shortly following their marriage, the couple moved to Carroll County, Illinois. Eighteen years ago the family came to this section.
It can be said of Mr. Mills that he was an honorable and
highly respected citizen; a kind and loving husband and father.
